THIS EIGHT DAY CHINA HIGHLIGHTS TOUR WAS AMAZING , IT WAS ACTION PACKED WITH ADDITIONAL VISITS , ATTRACTIONS AND MEALS IN BETWEEN THE MAIN SIGHTS OF SHANGHAI , XIAN AND TERRACOTTA WARRIORS , GREAT WALL OF CHINA AND THE CAPITAL BEJING ATTRACTIONS . THE GROUP OF EIGHT TRAVELLERS OF DIFFERENT NATIONALITIES , AGES AND PERSONALITIES WAS LEAD BY AN EXCELLENT GUIDE - MARK CHEN , WHO WAS A BRILLIANT COURIER , VERY KNOWLEDGEABLE , APPROACHABLE , KIND , EFFICIENT AND GELLED WITH EVERYONE IN THE GROUP. TRAVEL BETWEEN THE MAJOR CITIES WAS BY BULLET TRAIN AT SPEEDS OF 350 KPH AN EXPERIENCE IN ITSELF ! IN BETWEEN TRIPS , MARK WOULD EDUCATE US ALL ON ALL ASPECTS OF CHINESE LIFE FROM CUSTOMS , FOOD , HISTORY AND CHINESE POLITICS , MARK CHEN REALLY MADE THIS AN EXCELLENT TRIP WHICH WE WILL REMEMBER FOREVER . Jacky, our guide, was incredibly helpful and patient with our group. I appreciate all his knowledge of landmarks we visited. He went above and beyond to help the group. Our accommodations in China, however, were disappointing. The dongfang hotel in Beijing did not have air conditioner and overcharged us for laundry without much explanation. The Tibetan hotel in Xiahe was also less than desirable. Hot water wasn’t always available for showers and we didn’t receive enough towels for personal use or for the floor so the bathroom was very slippery making this a potential grave danger.

Brilliant trip to get a flavour of China when tight on time. Leon, the guide was fantastic. Really ensured everyone had the best experience for them in a diverse group of people of various ages and physical abilities. Wonderful experience.
