Three countries, nine days, and more incredible animal encounters than you could possibly count.
That’s Intrepid’s 9-day Botswana Highlights trip in a nutshell. It’s a tour that takes you from Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls to Namibia’s Zambezi region and all through beautiful Botswana too. It’s a way to glimpse some of Southern Africa’s sweeping landscapes and epic wildlife, to embark on an adventure you’ll remember forever.
And to capture just how stunning it really is, we sent photographer Mirae Campbell on the trip. She spoke lovingly of the country’s landscapes – which encompass everything from savanna to swamp to the sands of the Kalahari – saying “you get there and feel at peace… happiness overwhelms you”. She also spoke highly of Intrepid’s local leaders, explaining that “it’s insane how well educated they are about the environment and wildlife… they have really funny stories too”.
And the tour experiences themselves? Well, you’ll have to see the below photos to really get to grips with their unique, picturesque nature. But just imagine game drives in Chobe National Park, exploring the Okavango Delta in a traditional dug out canoe, and getting welcomed into the villages of native Bushmen, and you’ll have some idea.
Seriously, Botswana is a destination for the bucket lists. After all, it it contains both the world’s largest inland delta and the world’s highest number of elephants.
