Uzbekistan Tours & Holidays

Experience a remote adventure – well and truly off the tourist trail – in dazzling Uzbekistan.

There are the famous cultural sites we’ve been told we have to visit (here’s looking at you, Instagram), and then there are the iconic sites we never knew we had to see. Like the glittering turquoise domes of Registan Square in Samarkand, the breathtaking Kalon Mosque and Minaret in the ancient Silk Road city of Bukhara. And outside of the cities, Uzbekistan is just as full of surprises – like the traditional villages of the Nuratau Mountains or a desert-bound yurt camp. This is Uzbekistan, in all its charming glory.

Uzbekistan Adventure

We booked this tour not knowing much about Uzbekistan or what to expect. It ended up being an amazing experience. The tour was well organised and the guide was extremely knowledgeable with excellent English. We saw so many beautiful sights and we felt safe the entire time. I would definitely recommend anyone considering to book this trip!

Intrepid has the gift of choosing local knowledgeable guides like Shukhrat in Uzbekistan, who have a passion for their country and the ability to impart that enthusiasm to the group. I was impressed by his openness and handling of the differences in the group.

Bishkek to Ashgabat

The best intrepid trip I’ve done despite a little apprehension and nerves initially as a solo woman and what to expect. Miko our guide was fantastic and a wealth of information and amazingly well organised. I felt completely safe at all times and able to completely enjoy these amazing countries and have good and engaged interaction with the local men and women in the different areas. Amazing people history wilderness and architecture.

An amazing introduction into the local area. It was great to see the mountainous landscape of Kyrgyzstan contrasting with the vibrant culture of Uzbekistan. We had a excellent guide, Svetlana, who was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any question. She made time for everyone depending on the needs of the person and navigated us very well throughout. The local guides we had were also very good and friendly. The local people are super kind and friendly. It was great to visit the homestays to learn about the local culture and food. The weather was warm throughout so would recommend light clothing ( visited August). Please note the mountain roads in Kyrgyzstan are challenging and it has attitude. We felt very safe throughout the trip and would love to go back.
