Dreaming about Europe for your family holiday? We don’t blame you

Ah, Europe – a land of ancient ruins, mouthwatering cuisines, mountain-top castles and bluer-than-blue seas. Our Europe family holidays take the hassle out of planning. All your chalets, guesthouses and alpine trains are booked and ready; we’ve got warm baguettes and cheese on standby, and an action-packed itinerary that you and the kids will love. Why choose us

Family-only trips

These trips are for families only – including any grandparents, aunts or uncles who’d like to join, of course. As long as you’re travelling with a child aged between 5 (or 10 for some itineraries) and 17, you’re a family in our eyes. Plus, all travellers aged 17 and younger receive a 10% discount.

Like-minded travellers

Travelling with us is a bit like travelling with old friends. You’ll join a group of 3 to 5 families from all over the world, and the kids tend to hit it off straight away so you can enjoy some well-earned R&R. We often find that families stay in touch long after the trip ends.

Small groups

Our groups are small enough to avoid the crowds and reach out-of-the-way places, but big enough for a good social mix. Our average group size of 10 allows us to hop aboard local boats, buses or trains, eat at family-run restaurants, and stay in traditional guesthouses and homestays.

Kid-friendly itineraries

Boredom? Nope. The biggest challenge of travelling with kids is keeping them entertained, which is why our trips have plenty of fun activities and free time. We try to keep travelling time to a minimum and use hotels with pools. Your leader can also suggest activities based on your kid’s hobbies or curriculum.

Safety first

Our leaders are specially trained to run family adventures, so you and the kids will be well taken care of. You can also rest easy knowing we conduct safety assessments on all our activities to meet local standards as well as our own comprehensive safety policy.

Travel that gives back

As the world’s largest travel B Corp, we use travel as a force for good. We give back to the communities we visit, carbon offset our trips and take our social and environmental responsibilities seriously. When you travel with us, you travel with purpose.

This trip was an amazing family adventure! It was the perfect amount of activity and fun, I felt challenged but never exhausted. Nick and Nuria were so welcoming and supportive of everyone's needs on the trip. The meals at the hotel were delicious. We loved getting to know our fellow travelers, having another family on the trip with kids of the same age really enhanced everyone's experience. I highly recommend Summer Pyrenees Family Holiday!

Northern Italy Family Holiday

We had a wonderful time on our Italy vacation. It was our first time and enjoyed experiencing several locations. There’s LOTS of walking so wear comfortable shoes. It’s quickly paced, with a nice tour of several areas. I recommend staying a few days after in Rome to give yourself lots of time to see everything. Pack lightly (large backpack or carryon size) because you are going to be on trains, some without assigned seats or luggage racks(limited space). Personally, I think it’s best for kids ages 10+. Smaller kids will have a harder time lifting luggage in the trains.
