I was able to do and see so many things that I wouldn't have been able to manage on my own as a solo traveller. I got to do so many incredible things like swimming through caves or relaxing in natural hot springs. Our guide Aquilino was great and had so much knowledge of the counties we were in.

This was my first group tour and i was nervous coming alone but it exceeded my expectations. I met an amazing group of people and we had an amazing guide Vin. I'm so delighted I did it. Where to next?

This is a great trip - you can explore a good amount of ground in a short space of time and do a lot of fantastic activities along the way. You’ll learn a lot about Mayan history and Central America generally.

Maya Encounter

I did a five week tour through seven countries from Mexico to Costa Rica. Overall it was a wonderful trip. We usually stayed at one place for two nights so that we had at least one day there where we had time for things to do. Sometimes it was even two days. I did a lot of things on those days that were optional for everyone. And that was a good thing. Unfortunately we couldn't stay on Cay Calker any longer because there was a threat of a hurricane. But the organization envisaged: Safety first. And that’s great too. The country I liked best during the trip is Guatemala. My highlights were: the hike up the volcano near Antigua. Or the visit to the ATM Caves. But the homestay at home with the locals was also very interesting. There are so many beautiful and exciting moments that almost every day was a wonderful experience. But the whole thing also depends on the other fellow travelers and, above all, the guide. And I was almost very lucky. A fellow traveler was the exception.
