Pristine waters, picturesque villages and Roman ruins – sailing the Mediterranean offers everything you can imagine and then some

Cruising around the rugged Italian coastline, you’d be forgiven for thinking you’ve somehow stumbled onto the set of a Brigitte Bardot movie. If you're looking for an Italy travel experience where you can sail past the pastel-colored villages of the Amalfi Coast, rub shoulders with the locals while drinking martinis on the famous Isle of Capri, or hot-foot it to Pompeii to learn about its explosive past, you've come to the right place. While the cerulean waters and heavenly sunshine will tempt you to laze around on deck all day, with so much to see and do you won’t want to stay put!

Sail Italy: Procida to Amalfi

Liz · Traveled August 2024
What an introduction to sailing! Naples to Amalfi was a perfect length trip, with plenty of brilliant stops and activities. The level of detail and organisation with Intrepid is second-to-none. Paolo was a fantastic trip leader. Highly recommend this company and the particular trip, we couldn't have asked for a better experience (though we would rethink timing - August was VERY hot for sleeping on a boat).

Sail Italy: Procida to Amalfi

would really recommend this trip, it was so fun to meet new people and socialise with the group, the boat is nice but it can be tough without air con since it’s very hot but dipping in and out of the water helps and the spots we swam in were so unbelievably beautiful

Raf was awesome and worked so hard to make a good experience for us! Definitely prepare for the heat in peak summer but otherwise such a unique and fun experience!

Incredible trip, from the views to the daytime excursions it is definitely something worth experiencing. Our skipper, Raf was just amazing and we had the best time. Only downside i can think of is that the boat needs some air conditioning haha

Excellent trip visiting lovely harbours and pretty bays. The yacht is very comfortable and well equipped. In August it was very hot! 🥵 I would have liked to have done more sailing.
