- Visit Krakow’s Jewish Quarter and see how the local community is re-establishing its cultural identity.
- See Warsaw from a different perspective as you take in views of the River Vistula from the city’s highest garden.
- Head out for a nature hike in Karkonosze National Park, admiring sweeping views from the Wysoki Kamien Observation Tower.
- Explore the vibrant cultural scene of Wroclaw, the historical capital of Silesia and Lower Silesia, which dates back over 1000 years.
- Experience Polish culture firsthand during a traditional pottery workshop in Wroclaw and a dinner in Szklarska Poreba.
- By travelling on this trip, you’ll directly support our Intrepid Foundation partner, Eden Reforestation Projects. Donations help them provide local employment opportunities and tackle climate change one tree at a time as they restore forests across 10 different countries.
- You’ll travel by train – the most eco-friendly way to move between places. Trains are comfortable and are the perfect way to arrive right into the city centre of your next destination. Please note you will have to carry your bag up and down the platforms and on and off the train. Pack light!
- There will be a walking tour included in cities and short hike in Szklarska Poreba. The tours may cover a fair amount of ground, so please make sure you are happy to be on your feet for a few hours at a time. Of course, you can always opt out and meet the group later on.
- On this trip, you must pack as lightly as possible because you will be expected to carry your own bag and although you won't be required to walk long distances with your luggage (max 30 minutes), we strongly recommend keeping the weight under 15 kg / 33 lb. Most travellers carry their luggage in a backpack, although an overnight bag with a shoulder strap would suffice if you travel lightly. Smaller bags or backpacks with wheels are convenient although we recommend your bag has carry straps to accommodate the cobbled streets, uneven surfaces, stairs and steps you are likely to encounter while carrying your luggage. You'll also need a day pack/bag to carry water and a camera etc for day trips.
