When is the best time to visit Bryce Canyon?

There's no 'best' time to visit Bryce Canyon as each season offers something slightly different. Our trips run in the summer between May and September when the weather is consistently warm and sunny — and perfect for exploring! The weather in spring and fall can be unpredictable and nights are chilly, while winter sees freezing temperatures and heavy snowfall.

        Often described as a ‘forest of stone’ and a ‘cave without a roof’, the hoodoos in Bryce Canyon are breathtaking. Sure, you might've seen similar formations in Turkey’s Cappadocia region or Australia’s Pinnacles Desert, but they're nothing like this. These towering spindles of red rock have been sculpted by millions of years of erosion, and each one is unique in shape, texture and colour — ranging from bright orange to rose pink.

        Whether you're a seasoned hiker or prefer a scenic stroll, there's a trail for everyone at Bryce Canyon. Epic trip to some amazing natural landscapes, that just cannot be captured in photos. Our family (boys aged 13 & 11) loved the hikes, kayaking and camping. This was our first holiday on an organised tour and will not be our last, thanks Intrepid!

Our trip was incredible and our guide Justin was fantastic too! The scenery was amazing and the itinerary was well planned! We absolutely loved Bryce Canyon, it is an absolute must see! Make sure you go to Antelope canyon too! Happy Travels Everyone!

The Utah Parks Circuit does not disappoint in any way. The scale of the places visited in these unique environments blow your mind: words and photos do not do them justice. The trip is incredibly well organised and led and I highly recommend it.
