Uganda Travel Information

A leader's perspective...

Inpenetrable forests, entertaining mountain gorillas and the happiest kids in the world – this is how I remember Uganda. My intention when visiting the ‘pearl of Africa’ was to see the gorillas, and while this experience alone was mind-blowing, it was the people, particularly the children, who fascinated me most. Whether whitewater rafting the Nile or wandering through villages, I was constantly waving at cheeky children calling out ‘Mzungo, how are youoooo?’ at the top of their lungs from behind trees or buildings. As a Mzungo (white person), their innocent and playful ways are captivating and you can’t help but think that these children, who have nothing and know nothing else, must be the happiest kids in the world.
