Europe tours in March 2025

Move over Mediterranean; March is for the Nordic countries

Think Europe closes its architectural doors for the first few months of the year? Think again. Watch as the green lights of the Aurora Borealis dance across the night sky in Iceland. Feel the icy wind whip through your hair on a dog sled ride over frozen landscapes in Finnish Lapland. Or settle down with a traditional cinnamon roll and a hot cup of fika (coffee) at the end of a long day exploring the streets of Sweden. Get ready to see a completely different side of Europe in March.

Premium Greece

This trip ran smoothly, without a hitch. There were amazing guides at every location and on the hikes. Our tour leader, Ross, was friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable. The hotels were lovely with attentive staff in every location.

Premium Greece

I really enjoyed this trip of Greece! The guides at the main attractions you stop at gave you lots of information which added to the experience, the accommodation was all comfortable with decent buffet style breakfasts to get you going for the day, the driver was great at keeping us all safe and ensuring a smooth and comfortable drive and the leader was friendly, approachable and organised to ensure the trip ran smoothly! If you haven't been to Athens before, I definitely recommend adding a day or two to either side of the trip so you can explore everything it has to offer and ensure you have some good walking shoes for the hikes as the ground can be covered in leaves, gravel or even mud (if it has rained recently) plus it is sloped as I believe all of the hikes were in the mountain areas. Oh, and if you are a female, the monasteries expect you to wear a skirt that covers your knees (even if you are wearing pants, you still need a skirt over the top) so make sure to pack one for those days (they did have ones you can borrow but they may run out when it is busier).

Loved the opportunity to see sights on mainland Greece that are of historical interest . This tour covers a good few places . Having our own transport makes such a difference . Highly recommend.

Highlights of Portugal

Jill · Traveled March 2024
I recommend Intrepid and this tour; a mix of smaller cities, mountain villages, and a big city. Something for everyone! The pace was great, with an introductory walking tour of each place, followed by plenty of free time to explore. The leader was exceptional in her organization, enthusiasm and availability.

Best of Central Europe

Michael · Traveled March 2024
Great exposure to the rich, complicated history of Central Europe. You get a variety of experiences, from big cities (castles, art museums, etc.) to small towns (Cesky Krumlov) to hiking (Tatras). My personal highlight was the day of visiting Auschwitz (I believe everyone should see this at some point) and the salt mines. We were very fortunate to have the first group visit of the day to Auschwitz, very powerful experience. Our guide Vanessa was amazing, would highly recommend!
