While autumnal weather may not always be suitable for every outdoor expedition, it does make the region less expensive than its summer counterparts. I knew Iceland was going to be fantastic but I didn't realise how much I would love it. The natural landscape history, folklore, and culture all add up to make Iceland such a unique part of the world. I had the best week on this tour, and was so lucky to have seen the Northern Lights multiple nights on this tour! Would recommend!

An excellent experience of Iceland, with extremely comfortable transport/accommodation, knowledgeable local guide and absolutely spectacular scenery. Whilst much of the day was on the bus, most days we stopped every hour or so at another attraction and time to explore/walks etc- it did not feel like excessive time on the bus. We were very lucky with the weather and had daylight from 9am-ish til 4-5ish. We saw the Northern Lights on a few of the nights but I think we were just very lucky with clear skies, I had prepared myself not to see them! Highlights were gorgeous waterfalls, the Glacier Lagoon and ice cave experience. Thank you Larus (our guide), my lovely travel companions and Intrepid for this experience. Also for reference another person on my trip was back for the same trip a second time- speaks for itself.
