Starting in Launceston – one of Australia’s oldest cities – you’ll sample some of the north’s finest wares along the Cradle to Coast Tasting Trail and experience the rich geological wonder of takayna/Tarkine and Cradle Mountain National Park. Then the beauty of the south beckons, with visits kunanyi/Mount Wellington, Hartz Mountains National Park and Bruny Island. Throw in the artisanal offerings of Hobart and the off-the-grid magic of Corinna and you’ll walk away with a dinky-di Tasmanian experience.

- Explore Australia’s oldest temperate rainforest with a visit to takayna / Tarkine– home to unique species that have evolved over hundreds of millions of years and are a living connection to the Gondwana supercontinent.
- Hike the Dove Lake Circuit in Cradle Mountain National Park – passing the immense lake, high peaks of the mountain and lush vegetation while looking out for wombats.
- See the highlights of the picturesque Tasman Peninsula, including the rock formations of Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen, the Tessellated Pavement and the tragically historic Port Arthur.
- Join a bush tucker experience and learn all about the culturally rich landscape with a palawa (Tasmanian Aboriginal) guide then browse through the Salamanca Market in historic Hobart.
- Discover the rugged beauty and delicious flavours of Bruny Island as you sample local delicacies and explore the national parkland where towering cliffs fall away into the crashing sea.

- This trip involves plenty of walking over varied terrain and is best suited to travellers with good fitness and mobility. Several leader-led walks are included on a daily basis, allowing you to get among nature. This is the best way to experience Tasmania, so please make sure you bring sturdy, comfortable walking shoes and comfortable clothing. Most walks are relatively short and easy although there are some more challenging options. However, joining a walk is always up to you.
- Temperatures can fluctuate in Tasmania. It's important to prepare – pack suitable clothing for hot, cold, dry and wet weather, just in case.
- For operational reasons the itinerary on days 1 to 5 on some departures throughout the year may operate in the opposite direction, however all experiences and destinations continue to be included.

START & END TIMES
The trip starts in Launceston with a Welcome Meeting at 8 am on Day 1 at our joining point hotel. The trip finishes in Hobart on Day 9 at our finish point hotel around 5:30 pm. Accommodation is not included on this day but can be booked on request.

A Single Supplement can be booked if you’d prefer not to share a room on this trip, subject to availability.
COMBINATION TRIP
This is a combination trip made up of two shorter trips. This means the composition of your group may change in Hobart as some group members leave and new ones join you.
LONG TRAVEL DAYS
