Galapagos Islands Tours & Holidays

Step into an isolated world. See giant tortoises roaming and unforgettable landscapes unfurl before your very eyes.

Get ready to observe wildlife the way Charles Darwin did hundreds of years ago. Inquisitive sea lions and spiky marine iguanas breach and bask between island and shore. Hammerhead sharks patrol the deep waters while blue-footed boobies and albatross cut through the sky. Nowadays, these Ecuadorian islands host a steady stream of modern-day explorers cruising from isla to isla. Snorkel in crystal-clear waters, traverse volcanic landscapes and spot animals you've only ever seen pictures of. To sum it up, there's simply no place on Earth quite like the Galapagos.

Transport in the Galapagos Islands

Intrepid believes half the fun of experiencing a new country is getting there, and getting around once there! Where possible, Intrepid uses local transport options and traditional modes of transport - which usually carry less of an environmental impact, support small local operators and are heaps more fun.Depending on which trip you're on while in the Galapagos Islands, you may find yourself on:

An active tour with ample opportunities to see the local wildlife. This tour provides a great in-depth experience of the Galápagos Islands in a relatively short amount of time.

Galapagos Island Hopping

Kelley · Traveled September 2024
Great guide! Cheche has such a passion for his islands and has an unbelievable wealth of knowledge. Perfect way to see the Galapagos. Give yourself an extra day or two on each side to do all the optional activities and Florena Island.

Classic Galapagos: Central Southern Islands (Grand Queen Beatriz)

Jena · Traveled September 2024
This trip gave us everything we wanted in the Galapagos - so many excursions to see wildlife, funny and knowledgeable guide in Roberto, and the ship/food was incredible. Snorkeling and island walks were loaded with animal sightings. All the islands were unique; especially loved Sombrero Chino and Isla Floreana. 10 days (plus a few extra in Quito) felt like the perfect amount of time to see many places, but still left us wanting to go back to see the rest of the islands.
