France Tours & Vacations

There’s a reason France is the most visited country in the world. Actually, there are several.

The Eiffel Tower and the Louvre. The Pyrenees and Chamonix. Escargot and ratatouille. Champagne and croissants and berets and baguettes. Napoleon and Simone de Beauvoir and the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Jazz bars and vineyards and lavender fields as far as the eye can see. ‘Un petit peu’ of this, ‘un petit peu’ of that. A balmy evening on the French Riviera, a morning frost on the fields of the Somme. French flags flying after the FIFA World Cup. Guillotines falling after the French Revolution. Chanel and Chandon and Versailles and Vuitton. Forget the museums; this country is a work of art.

Cycle the Loire Valley

Kristine · Traveled August 2024
Cycling in the Loire Valley is fantastic! Physical fitness is absolutely necessary to move for 30+ miles most days at a 12-15mph speed consistently for 2-3 hours (with breaks). Castles were beautiful and our small group of 5 was a great time! Highly recommend but ask 0 the e-bike!!

Cycle the Loire Valley

It is not an inclusive trip. If you are a Black and/or Hispanic woman then I do not recommend you pay for this trip and if you have reconsider actually putting yourself in a biased and prejudice environment. I immediately communicated with Intrepid when I experienced an unsafe situation where I was being targeted and I got the runaround. It’s a marketing ploy not their standards

Cycle Provence

Ellen · Traveled August 2024
My husband and I took this trip to celebrate our 32nd anniversary and as a challenge to myself before an upcoming milestone birthday. I'm thrilled to have been able to accomplish 25-30+ miles each day while enjoying the best wine in the world, decadent cuisine, and like-minded traveling companions. Our group got along great- 7 Kiwis, an Aussie, and 4 Americans. Cycling is a unique way to enjoy the beauty of Provence. We had never taken a group cycling trip and this turned out to be highly rewarding. I recommend training for a few hill climbs, sun and wind. We used regular bikes, but the e-bikes seemed to be a good alternative. The trip leader, driver, and trainee- Alice, Tommaso, and Ivan, worked well together and made this a very special, safe and fun experience. A bonus was the unplanned stop at a winery in the Tavel region due to the cafe being closed. If you enjoy wines from Provence and can ride a bike, this is the trip for you!
