Georgia Tours & Vacations

Georgia’s mix of natural beauty, medieval history and Soviet influences has made it one of Eastern Europe’s most fascinating destinations.

Long hidden behind ‘the curtain’, it has emerged, butterfly-like on travelers’ maps. Boasting hilltop churches, meandering cobbled streets, mountainscapes and a wine region the French would envy, Georgia is sure to capture your imagination.

My first group tour ever and it was so much more fun and relaxing than I expected. The group of people were all lovely, 20s to 40s, and the tour leader absolutely made the trip easy.

I didn’t know what this trip would be like but it surpassed all expectations. The scenery was spectacular, the accommodation was very good and always conveniently located and the local guides were excellent. I’d highly recommend visiting the region.

I highly recommend this trip. Starting in Tbilisi, a city rich with history and culture, specifically Old Town. We then traveled into the mountains to Mestia and Ushguli, which to me were the highlights of the trip. The hikes were challenging, but worth it. Definitely bring hiking boots and shoes you don't mind getting some cow poop on, but I promise the views and nature will be worth it! Between snow capped mountains, horses, cows and rolling green hills, the views did not disappoint. Another highlight was enjoying delicious food and wine with an amazing group! Pavel, our group leader, was welcoming, kind and funny. Overall, I had an amazing time and will be going on another Intrepid trip in the future.
