Guatemala Tours & Vacations

Bienvenidos! Welcome to Guatemala – a land of ancient civilizations, steamy jungles and laidback locals.

This coffee-growing, lava-flowing, jungle-clad landscape definitely doesn't hold back when it comes to color – think retro chicken buses cruising down the highway, pastel-painted buildings lining the cobbled streets of historic Antigua and vibrant wares on sale at market stalls in Chichicastenango. And whether you're cruising down the Rio Dulce to Garifuna-influenced Livingston, strolling around the quaint island of Flores in Lago Peten Itza, or trekking to the Maya ruins of Tikal, your Guatemalan adventure will unlock all but one of its highland secrets – how this Central American beauty is still largely undiscovered will continue to remain a mystery.

This was my first group tour and i was nervous coming alone but it exceeded my expectations. I met an amazing group of people and we had an amazing guide Vin. I'm so delighted I did it. Where to next?

Guatemala to Belize

Alison · Traveled June 2024
A great trip to Guatemala for 5 nights, with the highlights being Antigua, Rio Dulce (definitely worth getting up early for the kayak tour) and Tikkal. Our tour leader Manuel was great. Sadly, our Belize trip was impacted by a hurricane which was nearby, which meant the remaining four nights in San Ignazio, with not many options, and we did not get to Caye Caulker ... beware booking in the hurricane season!

Real Central America

If you’re looking for a stress free way to travel around Central America, then this Intrepid trip is for you. I am very satisfied with this trip and I can honestly say it was one of the best experiences of my life. Thanks to Intrepid and Ronny, my love for the Spanish language and Latin American culture has increased dramatically and I can’t wait to visit Central America again, and it will most certainly be with Intrepid.

Real Central America

Jasmine · Traveled June 2024
Absolutely loved this trip! A good mix of culture, adrenaline and relaxation must-do activities include snorkelling and ATM caves in Belize, as well as exploring the ruins of Tikal, Guatemala. Our tour guide Rony was excellent. Always very happy to answer any questions, had spot-on recommendations, and would go above and beyond to meet our expectations! Would 100% recommend!
