Mongolia Tours & Vacations

Landing in the concrete jungle of Ulaanbaatar, you might wonder where Mongolia keeps its famous wide-open spaces.

But just wait until you catch your first glimpse of sunrise over the famous Mongolian steppe. There’s no other view on Earth quite like it: mile after mile of rolling grassy plains, dotted with the white domes of gers and broken up with golden dunes or the craggy peaks of Tavan Bogd and the Altai mountains. It’s probably no surprise that our Mongolia tours are mostly about the getting out into the wild – soaking in the hot springs of Tsenkher or hiking through the Khogno Khan – but you’ll find there’s more to this country than just good views. With its epic history, brief communist past and a (proudly) democratic future, Mongolia is ready to greet the 21st century with plenty to offer the traveler.

Wild Mongolia

A fantastic trip if you want to enjoy big vistas and a different cultural. Lots of dollars aren’t needed, nor are gifts for the family as a kitty is done to buy goods (avoid sweets and plastic). Only 2 nights with a sleeping bag (homestay) otherwise sleep in comfy gers.

Wild Mongolia

Todd · Traveled July 2024
There is REALLY no place like Mongolia: free running huge herds of horses, families camping along rivers, lots and lots of land. This is unusual travel…in touch with the land.

Wild Mongolia

Antoine · Traveled July 2024
A convenient way to see wild Mongolia but could use improvement. Some destinations are fantastic and wonderful to see (e.g. the monasteries, and Khuvsgul lake), but some are underwhelming and really boring (e.g. hot springs). Drivers were amazing and seemed to be working 24/7 and wearing many hats. However, it didn't feel like great value for money, and we didn't have a big picture of what we were doing other than being driven around from point to point.
