Lithuania Tours & Vacations

As the first Soviet republic to declare its independence from the Soviet Union in 1990, this slice of fairy-tale Europe – replete with medieval castles and primeval forests – is just begging to be explored

Once the largest empire on the European continent, Lithuania’s history reads at times like a Game of Thrones episode and presents much for those looking to discover a new side of Europe. With architectural splendors spanning the gothic to renaissance to baroque to bohemian, a hearty national cuisine, and – would you believe it – a stunning stretch of sand dune coast, Lithuania bewitches all those who visit.

The Baltic Experience trip is a fantastic opportunity to see an amazing part of the world. Great and knowledgeable guides and amazing opportunity to learn about somewhere in the world that I knew so little about. Thanks

Overall, I believe the cost of the trip was far too much for what it was. Parts of the trip were great- the home stay w/ kayaking, our time in Tallin, our guide Ricci, the group, and biking at the Curonian Spit. The rooms (all except one) were very very small and 4/5 accommodations did not have air conditioning- something that was not mentioned in the trip description. I had brought this up with Intrepid as even the sample photo for Original Style trips included a split AC, they kept saying how the weather during our stay is not hot so it should not be a problem, however, that is relative and is something that should be listed in the description, especially when there are other reviews that mention the same issue. Additionally, I wish there had been more activities planned. I felt there was too much time in Riga and wished more time had been allocated to Helsinki as it was simply just a starting point for the trip. Hope this is helpful!
