On this 11-day Aussie adventure, you’ll discover the ever-changing landscapes of the south – from Melbourne (Narrm) to Kangaroo Island. Begin in the foodie capital of Melbourne, then visit the cinematic Hanging Rock and the heritage town of Ballarat. Jump on the Great Ocean Road, from Apollo Bay to Warrnambool, stopping to spot the famous 12 Apostles along the way. Wander Adelaide (Tarntanya) then journey to Kangaroo Island, where you’ll be in the company of penguins, kangaroos, sea lions, wallabies and more. On this southern journey, you’ll meet local farmers, learn about First Nations history, kick back on beaches and explore artsy cities.

Important notes

START & END POINT LOCATION & TIME
The trip starts in Melbourne with a pick up at 8am on Day 1 from our joining point, and finishes in Adelaide on Day 11 at our finish point hotel around 4:30 pm. Please read the joining and finishing point instructions in your trip notes for more details. Accommodation is not included on this day but can be booked on request subject to availability.

TRAIN TRAVEL TO ADELAIDE
The Overland train journey on day 6 will be unaccompanied by your tour leader, who will return to Melbourne. Upon arrival at the railway station in Adelaide you will be met by a transfer to take you to our centrally located hotel in the Adelaide's CBD which is where you will spend the night before meeting your new leader for the next section of your trip in the morning of day 7.
