Zanzibar Tours & Holidays

With endless golden beaches, crystalline blue waters and tantalising spice plantations – Zanzibar is a feast for the senses.

The island of Zanzibar may be small, but there are many ways to get lost here: amongst the ancient, cobble-stoned streets of Stone Town; in the colourful history of the people that call this paradise home; or amid the coral reefs that rival the best snorkelling destinations in the world. Take your pick, but after a day in this hidden paradise, we can promise you won’t want to be found!

Zanzibar to Nairobi

Heidi · Traveled August 2024
Just returned from this trip and it was every bit as good as the reviews say. The Serengetti is incredible but so too were the other places we went to. I particularly liked the hike in the mountains, being able to see the local village and try traditional food. The rice fields in Mto Wo Mbu and the coffee plantation/elephant cave hike were also highlights. The scenery is so beautiful, people are friendly and the food is really good. One of the best trips I've ever been on and I'm already planning more trips to Africa as a result.

Zanzibar to Vic Falls

Jennifer · Traveled August 2024
The trip from Zanzibar to Victoria Falls was good despite it being a very dry part of the year. The staff are excellent and did all they could to make it an enjoyable experience. The included activities were excellent.

Vic Falls to Zanzibar

Philip · Traveled August 2024
Whilst the staff, organisation and overall experience is of the quality we have come to expect from intrepid, it is very difficult to recommend this trip (on it's own at least, it may make more sense as part of the Cape Town to Nairobi trip) due to the itinerary. It is too rushed and the vast majority of the trip is spent travelling. We made some fantastic memories on the activities that I know will stay with us forever and the memories of the the punishing travel are already fading into the background, but during the trip itself it felt like endless driving punctuated by the occasional days of activity.

Road to Zanzibar

Elizabeth · Traveled August 2024
This was such an amazing trip. The overland driving and camping really allowed for me to see Kenya and Tanzania from a beautiful perspective. I had the best leader (Nash), driver (John), and chef (Mbithe) who were all the icing on the cake.
