Canada tours in August 2025

Summer in Canada, how about it, eh?

If Canada doesn’t show on your summer destination shortlist, you might want to give it a re-think. Although this is typically known as an Arctic country, the warmer months are just as noteworthy with a host of heart-warming and heart-skipping experiences for any kind of traveller. Go just about as north as you can go on a 12-day boating tour to the remote Arctic islands. But if you’re not keen on rugging up in August (we understand), then work up a sweat on a stroll through the Canadian Rockies, eat fresh lobster in Maritime Canada, dodge down rapids on the Sunshine Coast or lookout for Canada's majestic woodland animals at Mt Revelstoke National Park.

The Maritimes: Nova Scotia

James · Traveled August 2024
Our tour guide, Luc, created a safe and inclusive experience for everyone in the group. Cape Breton Highlands National Park and hiking the Skyline Trail were highlights for me -- and the town of Baddeck was especially charming. Bookended with Halifax and Charlottetown, this trip appeals to both urban and rural preferences. I was one of the younger people on this trip (ages ranged from 38-80), but I learned so much about global travel from my more seasoned companions. I'm ready to book another trip with Intrepid!

A magical introduction to the Canadian Rockies! Our guides Oli and Matis did a wonderful job looking after the group, both are very hard-working and great fun to be around. Loved this trip so much!

The trip gives you a good oberview of Prince Edward Island. You‘re guided by a leader who knows a lot of viewing points. Prince Edward Island has a lot of beautiful places to visit. Was a great experience.

Real Canadian Rockies

Selin · Traveled August 2024
I was very satisfied with the overall trip. I also very much liked that I had all the information about the tour and what to pack beforehand. I also very much liked our tour guide, Carl, who was a local and knew the whole area very well. He was also flexible, funny, had great knowledge, was a good cook, and was very responsible with the food kitty as well. I really enjoyed the whole trip and can only recommend!

Real Canadian Rockies

Miranda · Traveled August 2024
Had an amazing time in Canada! Went to lots of national parks and did rafting, hiking, swimming and bob-sleighing. Itinerary was very fun and made lots of good memories. I'm not the most enthusiastic camper but I really enjoyed my time on this trip.
