Do you need a visa for the Cook Islands?

There are no visa requirements for the Cook Islands, as long as you're visiting solely for tourism or recreation purposes. New Zealand nationals can stay for up to 90 days, while nationals from all other countries can visit for up to 31 days. Your passport will be stamped by an immigration officer when you arrive at Rarotonga Airport. If you intend to holiday in the Cook Islands for longer than 31 days (or 91 days if you're from New Zealand), you'll need to get an entry-on-arrival permit at the immigration counter. You can also extend your holiday once you're here, but you'll need to submit your application at least two weeks before the expiry date on your passport stamp. Extensions are usually granted on a monthly basis for a maximum stay of up to six months.

Entry requirements can change at any time, so it's best to check for the latest information before you set off on your trip. If you have any questions or concerns, you can get in touch with your nearest embassy or high commission to confirm your visa requirements.
