Visa and entry requirements for Jordan

A visa is required for most travelers coming to Jordan. The type of visa you require will depend on your nationality, length of travel, type of travel, entry point and other factors. For some travelers, a visa can be obtained upon arrival in Jordan.

Even if your nationality does not require a visa, you may need to show additional documentation to get into the country.

To enter Jordan you may need:

  • An undamaged passport valid for at least six months from the date you exit Jordan
  • One blank passport page for an entry stamp
  • A visa
  • A return or onward ticket from Jordan
  • Proof of funds to financially support yourself while travelling in Jordan
  • Documentation supporting the purpose of your stay, like accommodation or tour booking.
