Do you need a visa for Papua New Guinea?

All foreign nationals traveling to Papua New Guinea must hold a visitor entry permit. Citizens from over 60 countries are now eligible for a single-entry visa on arrival for stays of up to 30 days, including citizens of the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland.

Citizens from countries not listed will need to apply for a visitor entry permit prior to travel. This visa allows you to stay for up to 60 days, and you must enter within six months of the permit’s date of issue. You may also be able to extend onshore if you fancy sticking around for a little longer – with so much to see and do, we don’t blame you!

You can see the full list of eligible countries on PNG's Immigration and Citizen Authority’s website.
