Multi-active tours

Sometimes, the best adventures are found outside the city limits

For some of us, it’s just not a holiday without some trekking, snorkelling or kayaking in the mix. Our multi-active tours crank the excitement up a notch with a wide range of outdoor thrills in some of the world’s most beautiful places. Think cycling in Jordan, whitewater rafting in Costa Rica or hiking in the Canadian Rockies. We're talking about places where cobbled laneways are replaced by vine-covered jungle paths, skyscrapers are dwarfed by soaring mountains, and the quickest way to get from A to B is a zip-line instead of a taxi.

Why choose us

Adventure is in our genes

Safety first

Our leaders are specially trained to run active adventures, so you're well taken care of. We run safety assessments on all our activities to meet local standards as well as our own comprehensive safety policy.

Learn new skills

Our trips are about discovering a new destination and unlocking new skills – like horse riding, canyoneering or mountain biking. They're designed to teach you something new (and maybe even make you an enthusiast, too!).

Support the locals

We use travel as a force for good. We have close relationships with the communities we visit and always use local adventure providers on our trips. By travelling with us, you'll also be empowering local communities.

The people who make our trips great

Intrepid leader, Tri Nguyen
Tri, Vietnam

"For me, travelling is all about the journey. There’s no better way to experience the beauty of Vietnam than by paddling through Cat Ba’s secluded lagoons on a kayak, trekking through Sapa and staying with a local family, or cycling through lush valleys from Mai Chau to Ninh Binh."

Intrepid leader Giovanni explains safety instructions with the Amalfi Coast in the background
Giovanni, Italy

"Office views don’t get better than the Path of the Gods. I've been leading hikes along the Amalfi Coast and Sorrento Peninsula for over 12 years – and it never gets old. There’s something new to experience on every trip, whether it’s sharing cultures with travellers from around the world or seeing the joy on their faces as we kayak to a hidden beach."

Intrepid leader, Imalay
Imalay, Costa Rica

"Nothing beats the feeling of spotting sloths and hummingbirds in Monteverde Cloud Forest, getting the adrenaline pumping as we raft the rapids of the Pacuare River or paddleboarding with a backdrop of Arenal Volcano. Being active while surrounded by Mother Nature is the best way to see the world."

Fiji: Hike, Raft & Snorkel

Bernadette · Traveled August 2024
An amazing trip for someone looking to spend more time outdoors. There is a great mixture of water-based and land activities, and the village visits at the end really tie the whole trip together well.

Thoughtful and well-planned itinerary, lodging was comfortable, activities were enjoyable, good mix of time spent together as a group and exploring independently. Our guide was a joy to spend the week with as well. Would absolutely recommend to anyone.

Andorra: Hike, Bike & Raft

George · Traveled August 2024
This is a fantastic trip with a great balance of activities. Previously I have done 2 cycle only Intrepid trips, and this one had the advantage of one base, which was really nice, and a good variety of activities, plus an excellent night of live music, hosted by the trip leader! I found this trip less physical than other trips, but nonetheless brilliant and improved my fitness.
