The trip was excellent. Once you’ve tried an intrepid tour, it is hard to go back to regular vacationing. You will be immersed into Vietnamese society. It will be hard to go out at night because all activities start early in the morning. Unless you are willing to sacrifice sleep, then it is best to stick to the group plan. It is also activity intensive and does require a bit of walking. Beds on Vietnamese hotels are hard by western standards. The weather in August was very hot and humid. Make sure you prepare for this as there will be lots of sweating and sunburn if you don’t take precautions. The activities are well worth it however and I wouldn’t miss them. The food was also really good. I’ve learned to enjoy Pho which is a type of soup.

This trip was a great adventure! It really put me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to try new things and experience a whole different culture! I loved the people I met along the way and the tour guide and itinerary was really good. Will definitely be doing another intrepid trip!
