Thailand Tours & Holidays

Thailand is an idyllic paradise, where jungle-covered karsts plunge into aquamarine waters and the sand is sugar white.

But no matter how clichéd the fantasy, Thailand delivers in spades. The water around Krabi and Ko Tao really is that deep, cool shade of blue. Phi Phi’s limestone karsts really do look like some alien world. And the food? Let’s just say your local Pad Thai has nothing on Chiang Mai’s street stalls or the floating markets of Amphawa, where little old ladies do things with fish sauce and chilli you never thought possible. From the waterfalls of Erawan to a homestay with the hill tribes of the Golden Triangle, these adventures go beyond the tourist traps. Buckle up.

Essential Southern Thailand

I loved the variety of this tour, though my favourite part by some distance was Khao Sok National Park - unbelievably beautiful and peaceful, and I highly recommend waking up early for the sunrise! Patong was less to my tastes but a great setting off point for day trips.

I really enjoyed this trip. It included a lot of travel and amazing experiences in a short time. The home stay and elephant park were a highlight. I booked this trip as part of a bigger trip ‘The Best of Thailand and Malaysia’. I recommend including the north when exploring Thailand.

Chiang Mai & Elephant Experience

Alice · Traveled August 2024
Wow, what an incredible end to our trip. We had travelled around Vietnam and Cambodia with intrepid and had an incredible time but really wanted to see some elephants before we left so added this on to our booking. It was a quick flying visit to Chiang Mai which we had to leave early for due to flight prices. Our guide helped to organise the cooking class to change the time so we could still attend and we are SO thankful she did as it was the perfect way to experience food and a really fun activity. The elephant sanctuary- ChangChill was amazing, our guide was really knowledgeable and got us to great places to see the elephants in wild habitats to keep us and the elephants safe and happy. it felt great to know we were being such responsible travellers and doing what we could to look after the animals but also still see how they would be in the wild. The cooking class with Cooking@Home was AMAZING, the couple running were so knowledgeable and great at explaining and showing how to cook their beautiful homemade dishes in a really authentic way before letting us have a go ourselves. There was so much food we couldn’t finish and were given takeaway containers to take it home too! It was just perfection and I wouldn’t have changed a thing!
