Full of authentic cultural experiences, the kids will have plenty to brag about at school. Pretend to be royals in Rajasthan

If your little ones love fairytales, they’ll love waking up in the regal rooms of a 17th-century palace in Alsisar, Rajasthan. Nestled in a desert town full of legendary stories, this hotel oozes history and grandeur with manicured gardens, colorful courtyards and dazzling dining rooms you could spend hours exploring.

Musician holds large flat headed drum sticks rest on large taiko drums waiting to begin drumming
Play a 12,000-year-old Japanese drum

Learn how to play the taiko, an ancient instrument traditionally used to initiate ceremonies and call soldiers to battle. Made from large wooden barrels with animal skin stretched over both ends, it produces a thunderous sound that vibrates through your entire body. Watch the experts play before grabbing a pair of bachi wooden sticks and having a bash yourself.

Japan Highlights Family Holiday
Junk boat on the waters of Halong Bay, Vietnam
Set sail on a Vietnamese junk boat

Say ahoy! (or xin chao) to your Vietnamese captain and set sail around the karst-studded waters of Ha Long Bay. Cruise among hundreds of limestone islets, drop anchor to explore caves filled with stalactites and jump in for a swim with an epic backdrop. After enjoying a tasty dinner, head out to the deck where you’ll be wowed by a sky speckled with stars.

Vietnam Family Holiday
Monk walking in Angkor Wat in Cambodia
See how nature has taken over Angkor Thom

Who needs video games when you have an ancient city to explore? Angkor Thom, home to the iconic Angkor Wat, was once the largest pre-industrial city in history. Hop in a tuk-tuk with a guide from Driver Srey – a female-owned social enterprise empowering local women – and watch the ruins come alive. Then, wind through Ta Prohm’s maze-like passageways tangled with giant tree roots.

Camp in the Sahara

Saddle up for a sunset camel trek through the stunning Sahara. After journeying along the windswept dunes, you’ll be greeted by our local friends for a night in a desert camp. Enjoy a feast of traditional foods like tagine, couscous and pastilla before settling into the silence of the desert and gazing up at the Milky Way. If you’re lucky, you may see a shooting star (or 10)

Why choose us

Family-only trips

These trips are for families only – including any grandparents, aunts or uncles who’d like to join, of course. As long as you’re traveling with a child aged between 5 (or 10 for some itineraries) and 17, you’re a family in our eyes. Plus, all travelers aged 17 and younger receive a 10% discount.

Small groups

Our groups are small enough to avoid the crowds and reach out-of-the-way places, but big enough for a good social mix. Our average group size of 10 allows us to hop aboard local boats, buses or trains, eat at family-run restaurants, and stay in traditional guesthouses and homestays.

Like-minded travelers

Traveling with us is a bit like traveling with old friends. You’ll join a group of 3 to 5 families from all over the world, and the kids tend to hit it off straight away so you can enjoy some well-earned R&R. We often find that families stay in touch long after the trip ends.

Kid-friendly itineraries

Boredom? Nope. The biggest challenge of traveling with kids is keeping them entertained, which is why our trips have plenty of fun activities and free time. We try to keep traveling time to a minimum and use hotels with pools. Your leader can also suggest activities based on your kid’s hobbies or curriculum.

Safety first

Our leaders are specially trained to run family adventures, so you and the kids will be well taken care of. You can also rest easy knowing we conduct safety assessments on all our activities to meet local standards as well as our own comprehensive safety policy.

Travel that gives back

As the world’s largest travel B Corp, we use travel as a force for good. We give back to the communities we visit, carbon offset our trips and take our social and environmental responsibilities seriously. When you travel with us, you travel with purpose.

Morocco Family Holiday

The Morocco family holiday trip was amazing. We came knowing very little about the county and culture and we leave knowing a lot about the history, language, people and culture. I would recommend this trip to anyone considering a family adventure excursion holiday. We have a 9 and 6 year old and both loved every minute of it. 10 out of 10

Morocco Family Holiday

This trip was fantastic for our family with two children under 10. It was well organised and managed, and everything went very smoothly and according to the itinerary. There was just the right mix of activities and rest time so that the children coped well when we had some distance to travel. We had so many different and memorable experiences in beautiful scenery and with lovely local people. Our leader Oulaid was kind, organised, professional, knowledgeable, and approachable for kids and adults alike. Thank you!

Such a memorable family holiday! It is quite fast paced but we got to see and experience so much. Many highlights including a balloon ride, boat trip, marbling workshop etc etc. Our 6,13 and 18 year old loved it. We thoroughly enjoyed the underground caves and ruins of Ephesus. Thanks to our guide , who made our trip! so much knowledge and brilliant organisation. Would highly recommend this Intrepid trip
